We understand the investment market and the variety of different products available to investors. Our team is in daily contact with investment professionals and receive first hand feedback on what investors are looking for.
As the returns of a structured product are determined at the outset, they can be designed to align to a specific mandate or wealth strategy. With investment risks known in advance, an assessment in terms of client suitability can therefore be determined more easily.
Structured products can provide a wide variety of investment opportunities and offer the level of versatility not often found with the more traditional investments. A structured investment can be designed to meet clients’ specific requirements for capital growth, capital protection and income.
Gaining access to some markets or asset classes is not always possible via the traditional investment route or can be very expensive. Structured products are ideal vehicles to deliver exposure across a diverse range of asset classes in a cost efficient way.
Within portfolio construction, structured products can be used to manage market volatility, for example delivering positive performance irrespective of market conditions.
Structured products, with their pre-defined returns and risks, can give the re-assurance of knowing the potential risk/reward at the outset. In the creation methodology, there is a four stage process when designing a product:
Through our close working relationships with the intermediary market we have an immediate and constant source of information for product requirements. We review market conditions, economic indicators and financial measures to help define the product variables and parameters with those requirements in mind.
The choice of underlying asset is critical in the performance of the product. Structures can be designed to follow any tradeable asset which supports derivative trading. Assets demonstrate different behaviour in varying market conditions and can be chosen to suit a range of economic environments. By providing a choice of underlying assets within our product, investors can build asset diversification into a single product.
This is the risk/return profile of the product. In effect it’s finding the right balance between the level of protection and the returns that the product offers to suit the needs of investors. Through carefully controlled use of sophisticated derivative contracts the availability of different payoffs is almost limitless.
This is the financial institution that issues the securities underlying the structured product and therefore determines the credit risk associated with the investment. Focus Structured Products' plans are developed with an internationally renowned investment bank.
Focus Structured Products range has a clear target market. Its aim is to produce market leading solutions for a multitude of portfolio planning issues. Customer focus groups and research are a large part of this, alongside the constant feedback we receive from our intermediary clients.

Focus Structured Products is a trading name of Meteor Asset Management Limited, which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.

Our investment products can provide both individual and institutional investors with flexible investment vehicles, which can accommodate varying appetites for risk, asset exposure and capital protection.
It is important that investors understand the risks attached to each of the investments. The key risk areas are summarised below, but please remember that these are general risks and those relevant to a particular product are set out in the product literature.
We do not provide financial advice or guidance on tax issues and we strongly recommend that investors talk to a financial adviser if considering investing.
Any investment should only form part of a total investment portfolio. Investors should also maintain savings they can access immediately to meet any emergency cash needs that may arise during the investment term.
Availability and Residence – due to local regulatory and legal requirements, not all products described on this website are available in all jurisdictions and some may be available on a limited basis only.
The securities mentioned on this website are not being offered, and will not be sold, within the United States or to, or for the account or benefit of, any U.S. person. The term U.S. person shall have the meaning as defined in Regulation S under the United States Securities Act of 1933 and includes, among other things, U.S. residents and U.S. corporations and partnerships.
Cancellation Risk – the risk that if an investor decides to cancel the investment after assets have been purchased, they are likely to lose money if the market(s) or asset(s) to which the contract is linked have fallen since the purchase date.
Counterparty Risk – the risk that the Counterparty does not, or cannot, pay to the Plan Manager the amount due under the product, which could cause investors to lose some or all of their money and any investment returns that would otherwise have been payable.
Early Encashment Risk – the risk that if investors decide to encash the investment before maturity they could get less back than they invested. Administration charges for early encashment will increase any losses.
Inflation Risk – the risk that inflation will reduce the real value of an investment over time.
Investment Risk – The risk that the market(s) or asset(s) to which an investment is linked falls in value, which could cause an investor to lose money.
ISA Transfer Risk – if an investor wishes to transfer an existing ISA this must be done in cash, which means an investor's existing ISA manager will sell the investments and the investor may be charged an exit or transfer fee. There is the potential for loss of income or growth if markets should rise while the transfer remains pending.
Liquidity Risk – the risk that an investor may not be able to access the value of their investment. In normal market conditions pricing will be provided but there is no guarantee that an investor will be able to redeem an investment before maturity.
Pricing Risk – the risk that a financial institution with whom underlying investments have been arranged may not be able to quote regular prices making it difficult to value the investment and delaying any early encashment requests.
Product Risk – the risk that the product design could produce a return that is lower than a direct investment in the market(s) or asset(s) to which the product is linked, or may produce no return at all.
Tax Risk – The values of any tax reliefs will depend on an investor’s individual circumstances. You should note that the levels and bases of taxation could change in the future and these changes may be applied retrospectively.
It is important that an investor reads any product literature carefully and in full so that they understand how the product works and can decide whether or not they are prepared to accept the risks and the possible consequences of investing in a particular contract, before proceeding with an investment.
